Super Bowl of Pest Control
What event had over 3500 attendees, showcased new products and services, and provided excellent education and networking opportunities? Pest World 2021!
This year's Pest World was at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the National Pest Management Association did a great job bringing this event back live and in person.
Pest World 2021 started Tuesday, November 2, with great opening comments from Dominique Stumpf, Chief Executive Officer of the National Pest Management Association. While this was happening, The Pest Posse was getting ready for our first live stream from Pest World, that hope you didn't watch. That's right, I actually said, we hope you didn't watch because, as typical, when you're trying something for the first time, it does not always work out. But like all challenges you deal with in business and life when things don't go the way you wanted them, you need to reevaluate, make adjustments and come back with a new attempt that will hopefully get better results. If you caught day 2, you'd know that it did.
Day one was not a total loss; we connected with plenty of our followers and gathered up lots of information on new content that we can be bringing you over the next few months.
Day 2 at Pest World 2021 was great for The Pest Posse. The Day 1 live stream issues were fixed, and Pest Posse TV was ready for a great live broadcast on Facebook and LinkedIn. We were able to bring on several great guests with new products and tools that we thought were quite interesting. It was also another great day for networking and learning all that the past world has to offer.
Days 3 and 4 live streams went off without a hitch, and we were delighted with the results bringing in several other professionals and featuring their products and services. We were blessed to meet two gentlemen from Smithereen Pest Control in Chicago. Their company has been around since 1888. How awesome is that to meet people from a company that's been around for 133 years. I think that gives me a whole new level of respect and pride for what this industry is all about. To think about the work it must have taken to sustain customers, sell customers, and work through all the legal changes in pest control and business in general.
I enjoyed my time at this year's Pest World and loved meeting new people and finding new innovative products.
We are looking forward to next year's Pest World that will be in Boston and who knows what The Pest Posse might bring you at next year's event.
